January 17, 1966 : US B-52 Bomber Collides With Tanker Jet Mid-Air, Nuclear Warheads Go Missing

The 1966 Palomares B-52 crash also known as The Palomares incident occurred on January 17, 1966, when a B-52G bomber of the USAF Strategic Air Command collided with a Tanker Jet during a standard mid-air refuelling at 31,000 feet (9,450 m) over the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Spain. The Tanker Jet was completely destroyed when its fuel load ignited, killing all four crew members. The B-52 Bomber broke apart, killing three of the seven crew members aboard.

The B52 was carrying and four Mk28 type hydrogen bombs the B-52G carried, three were found within days but a fourth one had seemingly dropped into the ocean over the Mediterraen Sea. After a 2 1/2 month search the US Military claimed to recover a missily at over 2,700 feet at the bottom of the ocean – looking brand new. In fact, below is the actual 4th missile the military claims it recovered.

Two of the nuke’s actually did spread radioactive plutonium all over Palomares, a small fishing & tourist village. Hundreds of people were affected and suffer to this day.

July 10 1856 : Nikola Tesla Born, World Changes Forever

On this day the world was made brighter by a relatively unknown Serbian child born this day. That child, was Nikola Tesla, and thanks to him everything you do from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep, and even then while you sleep, the world runs, based on his ideas and inventions.

Besides inventing things like Alternating Current which started the second industrial revolution he was known to many as a mad scientist. Many of his inventions have yet to see the light of day but Tesla was so far ahead of his time the people of his day could not recognize his full genius.

Things that he was said to have invented are a death ray he called the teleforce weapon, wireless energy systems capable of harnessing energy from the atmosphere, time travel, free energy and he was known to never write down any of his designs as he was capable of building everything in his mind, seeing it there, before bringing it into reality.

His residence was reportedly broken into numerous times by spies from the US and other governments, but nothing was ever taken, as Tesla kept everything written down in his mind, so his secrets were taken to the grave with him.

June 11 1963 : Racist Governor Wallace Physically Stops Blacks From Entering University of Alabama

How everything can change in less than 50 years. In this day in history Alabama Governor George Wallace physically prevents black people from entering the Univeristy of Alabama. Where does this madness form, what a mystery that mankind can have these kind of ridiculous thoughts, passing judgements based on skin color is ridiculous.

Of course the federal government showed up and stop this kind of nonsense and this was a very historical moment, but lets not forget what a great example of human stupidity as well what a governments real job is which is the protection of all her citizens no matter what they may look like.

It is a mystery of history why these kind of things are allowed but even today we are surrounded in those who wish to say one thing and yet do another. The big debate of our generation is the legalization of gay marraige. Anyone who opposes equal rights for everybody is on the wrong side of history, just as this racists fear monger who actually made it to the government position of being Governonr of a state shows you the kind of thinking of the people who elected him.

Be kind to everyone you meet, as we all have our individual challenges in this life, lets not make it harder on people for ridiculous things like this. Dont get caught up in others stupidity.

May 30 1431 : Joan of Arc Burned At The Stake

Saint Joan of Arc, nicknamed The Maid of Orléans is considered a national heroine of France and a Catholic saint. A peasant girl born in eastern France who claimed divine guidance, she led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years’ War, which paved the way for the coronation of Charles VII. She was captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, tried by an ecclesiastical court, and burned at the stake when she was 19 years old.Twenty-five years after the execution, Pope Callixtus III examined the trial, pronounced her innocent and declared her a martyr. Joan of Arc was beatified in 1909 and canonized in 1920. She is — along with St. Denis, St. Martin of Tours, St. Louis IX, and St. Theresa of Lisieux— one of the patron saints of France.

Joan asserted that she had visions from God that instructed her to recover her homeland from English domination late in the Hundred Years’ War. The uncrowned King Charles VII sent her to the siege of Orléans as part of a relief mission. She gained prominence when she overcame the dismissive attitude of veteran commanders and lifted the siege in only nine days. Several more swift victories led to Charles VII’s coronation at Reims and settled the disputed succession to the throne.

Joan of Arc’s religious visions have remained an ongoing topic of interest. The consensus among scholars is that her faith was sincere. She identified Saint Margaret, Saint Catherine, and Saint Michael as the source of her revelations, although there is some ambiguity as to which of several identically named saints she intended. Some Catholics regard her visions as divine inspiration.

Analysis of her visions is problematic since the main source of information on this topic is the condemnation trial transcript in which she defied customary courtroom procedure about a witness’s oath and specifically refused to answer every question about her visions. She complained that a standard witness oath would conflict with an oath she had previously sworn to maintain confidentiality about meetings with her king. It remains unknown to what extent the surviving record may represent the fabrications of corrupt court officials or her own possible fabrications to protect state secrets. Some historians sidestep speculation about the visions by asserting that her belief in her calling is more relevant than questions about the visions’ ultimate origin.

Documents from her own era and historians prior to the twentieth century generally assume that she was both healthy and sane.

A number of more recent scholars attempted to explain her visions in psychiatric or neurological terms. Potential diagnoses have includedepilepsy, migraine, tuberculosis, and schizophrenia. None of the putative diagnoses have gained consensus support, possibly due to the limited amount of information available about Joan’s life.

In 1867, a jar was found in a Paris pharmacy with the inscription “Remains found under the stake of Joan of Arc, virgin of Orleans”. They consisted of a charred human rib, carbonized wood, a piece of linen and a cat femur — explained as the practice of throwing black cats onto the pyre of witches. They are now in the Museum of Art and History in Chinon museum. In 2006, Philippe Charlier, a forensic scientist atRaymond Poincaré Hospital (Garches) was authorized to study the relics. Carbon-14 tests and spectrometry were performed, and the results show that the remains come from an Egyptianmummy from the sixth to the third century BC. The charred appearance comes from the embalming substances, not from combustion. Large amounts of pine pollen were also found, consistent with the presence of resin used in mummification and some unburned linen was found to be similar to that used to wrap mummies. The famous perfumers Guerlain and Jean Patou said that they could smell vanilla in the remains, also consistent with mummification. Apparently the mummy was part of the ingredients of medieval pharmacopoeia and it was relabeled in a time of French nationalism.

She became a symbol of the Catholic League during the 16th century. When Félix Dupanloup was made bishop of Orléans in 1849, he pronounced a fervid panegyric on Joan of Arc, which attracted attention in England as well as France and he led the efforts which culminated in Joan of Arc’s beatification in 1909. Pope Benedict XV canonized Joan on 16 May 1920. As Saint Joan of Arc, she has become one of the most popular saints of the Roman Catholic Church.
