This is the first video of the Stonehenge located far up north in the Ontario & Quebec borders, near a city and lake named Larder Lake.

Allegedly the boulders are somehow lined up with the solstices, which is touched on in the video above.

Hi Back Roads Bill, I grew up in Larder and have seen many boulders on flat ground while hunting and exploring the area. I was always told they were left by glaciers.

    • Can you get some photos to me? That would be great.

      Thanks.

Amazing photos. I know some oral history of CheminisMountain and Pearl Beach. True geological treasure which needs ensured preservation

There are many erratic boulders in the area, remnants of the last glacial ice age and glacial retreat. The monoliths and cairn at Pearl Beach, a former trading site, are not randomly placed.

    • My goodness look at that. I was just in Timmins this past weekend. Not enough time to swing over to Larder Lake unfortunately. Amazing, thank you.

I took some pics of the biggest glacial boulder I’ve ever seen. Located on the Esker park road near the Howard Lake turnoff. Would like to send you a couple. How do I do that?
