Chupacabra Shot & Killed In Missouri

Chupacabra Shot & Killed In Missouri

A loyal viewer from Missouri sent me these photos of what they claim to be a Chupacabra that wandered onto their property. They decided to shoot the Chupacabra and it looks like they have the real deal.Robin from Missouri claims that the eye’s are like that in real life, no flash was used. Also, the beast currently resides in her freezer. Very cool and a big thank you to Robin for sending these in.

    Coyote with the mange.

    • I disagree with you.

Looks more like mange with a coyote attached to it.

I think it could be a Xoloitzcuintle, Mexican hairless dog. They are in 3 sizes, toy, minature and standard. This looks like a very malnourished standard. They are not common in the U.S. and were, up until the last few years, more or less endangered in Mexico where they are the national dog, I believe. They are a very gentle breed. Possibly this could be 1 that was dumped?

I wonder if was aggressive and that is why it was shot. It appears to have been starving to death so probably too weak to take down any prey. So, as much as I hate to say it, the parties that shot it probably did the poor beast a favor and put it out of it’s misery. It does appear to have much more hair than what are usually touted as chupacabras though or a Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) so I agree with Zandy’s bride that it could be a coyote with mange or the wasting disease.
